Thursday already!!! Days are flying when you’re so busy! I’ve been wanting to post this recipe since las t week but I din’t get a chance before, this is such a great breakfast for any time of the day, super easy to make, nourishing and satisfying.
You only need a few ingredients and it is super versatile, so feel free to change it up!
Gastrawnomica’s Protein Oats with Vanilla & Almond Milk
Serves 2 people
1 cup gluten free rolled oats
1 cup almond/rice/soy milk
1 cup water
1 tsp cinnamon powder
Stevia drops to taste (optional)
1 scoop Livwell vanilla protein powder (or any other plant based protein powder)
1 Tbsp almond butter or any other nut/seed butter
1 cup fresh fruits: bananas, mango, berries, kiwis..
Cook oats with milk, water, cinnamon and protein powder at medium heat in a small pot. Stir frequently and reduce heat if needed, for 10-15 min, uncovered. The oats should start getting soft and the mixture thick.
Serve warm or let it cool down, top with fruits, almond butter and jam.
