Today I have a new recipe for you! I’m gonna share with you how to incorporate Ayurveda principles into one of the most common breakfasts known. This recipe for Ayurvedic Oats + 1 MINUTE Homemade Coconut Milk is not only super easy to make but tastes AHHH-MAZING!
By adding lots of spices we make this dish easier to digest and boost our metabolism, cinnamon is one of the best known spices to help with blood sugar balance and all of our other spices have digestive and even sedative effects like nutmeg!
Ayurvedic Oats + 1 MINUTE Homemade Coconut Milk
Serves 1
3 Tbsp rolled oats
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp each: cardamom, nutmeg, clove, ginger powder
1 Tbsp chia seeds
Homemade coconut milk:
1 big Tbsp coconut butter
Stevia to taste
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 cup water
Start by blending the milk ingredients until you have a very creamy and smooth consistency. If it’s too watery add more coconut butter or adjust water ratio.
Heat a small pan and add the oats, milk and spices. Stir for a few minutes until the oats start absorbing some of the liquid. Turn heat on the lowest possible and add chia seeds. Stir well until the consistency is similar to creamy/pudding like oats.
Serve warm and add more spices if desired.
I added homemade blueberry sauce and dried mulberries.
I hope you try this super easy recipe, it’s the perfect winter breakfast plus all the added benefits from spices!
